Custom Reactions
Upload custom emoji that are unique to your workspace. Give your team ways to respond to posts beyond the standard set—inside jokes, mascots, branded emoji, whatever fits.
How Custom Reactions Work
Custom reactions show up alongside built-in emoji in the reaction picker on every post. They're scoped to your workspace, so each team gets its own set. Admins and owners manage the library from workspace settings.
Adding a Custom Reaction

Open Reaction Settings
Go to Settings → Reactions in your workspace settings.

Upload an Image
Click “Add Reaction” and upload a square image (PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP, max 256 KB). The image is stored in your workspace's media storage.

Give It a Name
Pick a unique name like “shipit” or “party_parrot”. Names can contain letters, numbers, and underscores only—no hyphens or special characters. Each name must be unique within the workspace.
Image Guidelines
Format
PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP. Animated GIFs are supported and will play in the picker and on posts.
Size
Max file size is 256 KB. Square images work best—128×128 pixels is the recommended size. Reactions display at 20–24px in the UI.
Transparent Background
Use a transparent background (PNG or WebP) so the reaction blends with both light and dark themes.
Naming
2–32 characters. Letters, numbers, and underscores only. No hyphens or special characters. Must be unique within the workspace.
Smart Suggestions
Project Feed tracks which reactions you use most and puts them in the quick-react bar below each post. That row updates over time based on your habits, so your go-to reactions are always one click away.
